About Us

What do we do?

We empower healthcare professionals with vital knowledge and resources to seamlessly integrate probiotics into their practices. Our primary focus revolves around the yearly review and release of the Clinical Guide to Probiotic Products (the Guide). Each year, we meticulously review and publish the Clinical Guide to Probiotic Products (the Guide), ensuring you have the most up-to-date resources.

The history

In 2008, Clinical Pharmacist Dragana Skokovic-Sunjic created the Probiotic Chart initiative, now called the Clinical Guide to Probiotic Products, with the aim of providing a comprehensive resource that succinctly summarizes the available scientific evidence on probiotics for specific indications. This initiative has since evolved into online resources, including websites and mobile apps, which have been made available in 2015 to better serve healthcare professionals.

The Expert Review Committee

Our distinguished Expert Review Committee is composed of leaders from across the globe. Every year, they meticulously and impartially review the available scientific evidence on the safety and efficacy of specific probiotic products. The annual updates for the Clinical Guide to Probiotic Products, which include the latest published evidence and a listing of products meeting their rigorous review criteria, are a valuable resource for anyone seeking reliable information on probiotics.

Alliance Members
